| Sideshow Collectables - Planet of the
Apes Series - Forbidden Zone Taylor
This figure was featured on our April 2005 cover, it is part of
Sideshow's Planet of the Apes collection. This is a sideshow exclusive
figure that has a limited production run of 500 pieces. The figure
depicts Astronaut Taylor Just after his ship crashes in the Forbidden
Zone on a planet ruled by Apes, towards the end of the film we
find out the planet is really earth many years in the future. In the
movies Taylor was played by Charlton Heston who also played Moses in the
ten commandments and is often referred to as the voice of God. Mr.
Heston was until recently the president and spokesman for the
National Rifle Association (NRA). |

Review
The box is a book type that has a picture of the
figure on the front cover. When you open the box there is a brief bio of
Taylor and an overview of the planet of the apes story. On the opposite
side you are given a full view of the figure and its accessories. The
back of the box has some more photos of the figure and the other figures
in the Planet of the Apes series.

| The head sculpt is very nice, and it definitely looks
like Mr. Heston. The detail is on the mark and the quality is there.
Like most Sideshow figures the eyes definitely stand out.

| The body is very articulate and well made. The hand are
nicely done with a lot of detail. . |

| The costume is awesome the detail is superb. Taylor
comes with a white astronauts suite with white boots and a mesh shirt. |

| Taylor comes equipped with a survival kit that contains
a hammer, gun, radios and lots of other cool toys. The Hammer and gun
are the only two items that can be taken out of the survival kit. There
is also a Planet of the Apes doll stand. This version of Taylor also
comes with a cigar. |
