last month in our spotlight section we
featured a new figure by Ignite the The Roman Republic Legionary
as promised this month we will review the Legionary.

The box is the standard Ignite book type however in my
opinion the front is not as impressive as past Ignite boxes. In the past
Ignite's boxes have been beautify illustrated with full size images of their
figures set in a period seen; the Legionary
box falls short here. On the front cover there is a depiction of a
raging battle and in the mitts of all the fighting the
Legionary is just standing there oblivious to the events around him. Once
you open the cover however all is forgiven the figure is outstanding and in
typical Ignite style there is also a brief history of the Roman Army on the
inside cover.
The head sculpt is outstanding. I have to honestly
admit I really tried to find the smallest defect and it was impossible the
head sculpt is as close to perfect as you can get; Ignite definitely excels
in this area.

The costume is well executed, he is wearing a red cloth
tunic covered with a simulated chain mail suite with leather trim. He is
also wearing sandals , a steal leg protector, and a leather belt. The figure
also comes with a cool helmet with red tassels. All and all this is a nice
costume.

As with all Ignite figure the legionary comes with die
cast accessories that are top notch. His arsenal includes a sword, pike,
and a shield.

Summary:
Ignite has pulled it off again this is a great figure
and is definitely recommended. I also have to hand it to Ignite they really
put a lot of craftsmanship and quality into their figures.
